Henley- 6 Months

You got your first real illness right after you turned 5 months. You'd had a cold and cough for a couple of weeks, but the doctor said I didn't need to bring you in unless it persisted longer than 2 weeks. I finally took you in and you had a double ear infection. You're such a big girl... We had no idea. This calls for lots of snuggle time with mommy and daddy!

The doctor gave you amoxicillin for your ear infection, and turns out you're allergic to it! You got a horrible rash all over your body, right before picture day at school! It doesn't seem to bother you though, which is all that matters.
You have discovered your hands! You just stare at them, clinching your fists then letting go. It's like you are seeing an alien... you focus so intently. Precious!
You can sit up all by yourself!
You giggle and smile all the time now. You are such a happy baby. 

We've started solids! Your first was sweet potato. Mommy is going to try making all your food. I think you liked the sweet potato! Avocado was next... you gagged, so I'm not sure you liked it! Bananas have been your favorite so far!

You love being outside!
No crawling yet, but you are good at scooting while on your back!
Your first swim went great! I think you are going to love the pool this summer!
